He was 8 lbs. 9 oz (2 pounds bigger than Jack!!) and 21 inches long. I went to the doctor for a regular 39 week visit on Friday and was told I was in early labor and to time my contractions. We ended up heading to the hospital about 3:30ish that afternoon. After several hours there and several trips walking around the hospital we were given the choice to stay at the hospital to see if any more progression would happen or we could go home - relax and come back when things started to pick up. I was just at the point where they weren't sure if it would be 2 hours or 2 days. We chose home - the best thing we could have done. I took a nice, hot, relaxing shower and we were back at the hospital 2 hours after coming home. I was pretty far into labor at that point and after one failed epidural (and several hours of SEVERE pain) Jacob was born.
Lee was so amazing and so excited to mee Jacob. We think he looks like a bigger version of Jackson as a newborn - with a ton more hair.
My sweet boy Jackson has been such an amazing big brother. He loves, loves, loves his little brother - loves kissing him and holding him.
We are so thankful for our little family and enjoying every moment of time with our boys. Thank you, God, for the blessing of raising these boys you have given us.
