Pumpkin Time

We decided that this year Jackson was old enough to pick out his first real pumpkin. Lee took him around to all the pumpkins, testing them out and trying to decide which one was best. There were rows and rows of nice, big pumpkins. Which one did Jack choose???

The absolute smallest one he could fine. Crazy kid - he is stuck on this "big" & "little" thing right now. It's either big or little and if it's not big then it's little and if it's not little then it's big. That's how our conversations go these day. Well, he decided that he wanted a little, not a big, pumpkin. And he would not hear another word about it. It HAD to be a little, not a big, pumpkin.

He did check out every, single little (not big) pumpkin at the pumpkin stand, though. We had several near misses where the little (not big) pumpkins almost came tumbling down onto the ground.

In the end the little (not big) pumpkin actually was a good idea for Jack, as he brought it to the dinner table with him and carried it around with him all night. Daddy got the big (not little) pumpkin for us to carve.

That is so cute. It still amazes me how much their minds can understand and also fun to see how they associate things. :)
