MeeMee Visit!!!

My mom came to spend a few days with Jackson - they both had such a good time!! My dad is at Duke for the month of July and she was in need of some Jack time. So, Mom and Nubbin (my parents Corgi) came up for a quick visit. Lee and I are also going to Las Vegas for a few days at the end of this month and Mom and Dad are coming up to watch Jack (it will actually be just Mom for about 24 hours until Dad gets home from Duke). Mom wanted to make sure she and Jack had spent some quality time together before Lee and I take off for the other side of the country. I think Jack and I will probably make a trip down to Charleston before we go.

Jack has started, on his own, calling Mom "Mee Mee". It is really cute!!! We dont know where that came from or how he got it - but it looks like it is sticking for now. It was "Mee Mee" this and "Mee Mee" that the whole time she was here. Mee Mee always lets me go and have some me time when she comes and she and Jack just hang out all day (it's pretty sad, though, when your "me" time consists of getting 3 fillings at the dentist!!). I realized this is why we dont have many pictures of Mee Mee and Jack. She sends me out the door the minute she gets here and I dont get much chance for taking pictures. I snuck in a few this time as they played in the pool and on his slide.


Jackson and Nubbin picking weeds. Jackson will not pick weeds without a glove but he puts the glove on one hand and picks with the other hand. He will walk around our yard saying "weed" and picking up anything that resembles a weed. Mom and Jack actually picked a ton of weeds one morning. Nice surprise for me!!
