I am so thankful for my friends. They have been such a blessing, encouragement and help to me. It is so wonderful when I can run up to my friend, Tricia, Sunday after church and say "oh my gosh, I have a physical appointment early tomorrow and totally forgot!! Can you watch Jack??". Without even blinking, she says "of course, bring him over". Now Caleb (Tricia's son) is Jacks age but usually sleeps way later than Jack (lucky Tricia)- so we would be coming over before he wakes up - but she didnt even think twice. Of course, the minute Jack and I walk in Tricia's house he runs to Caleb's room to wake him up. It was so cute, Caleb rolled over, looked up and with the sleep still in his eyes said "Jack Jack".
I truly do not know what people do without friends like God has given us. My mom friends have always been there to listen when something goes wrong (and they know what it is like to have hard days as a mom). Tricia and I have had many "bad Mom day" conversations. I have made some new friends who arent moms or who have older kids and it brings a whole new perspective to my days.
A few prayer requests from our family:
Lee's Aunt Doris passed away very suddenly Monday afternoon. Doris is Lee's dad's sister. Pray for this family as they deal with this sudden loss and all that follows. Pray for Lee's dad - he has had a lot going on lately before his sister passed. The funeral will be in Texas so pray for safe travels for the family.
Pray for my Dad as he continues his studies at Duke. One week left!! He loves the class discussion times and will miss this but will not miss the written work.
Pray for my Mom - she is really starting to miss my Dad and is ready for him to be home.
Lee and I leave for Las Vegas next Thursday!!! I am nervous about leaving Jack for 3 nights all the way across the country but know he is in capable hands. Pray for my mom, dad and Jack while we are gone. I also am not the best flyer :). Pray for our flight and that I can enjoy myself.

I am glad that we have each other to help especially on the bad mommy days. It makes them not so bad.
