Jackson and I made cupcakes last week. We had checked out a book from the library and one of Jack's favorite pictures was the cupcake picture. So I told him that I would buy some cupcake mix so we could make cupcakes thinking he would not remember my statement. Well, I was wrong. Everytime we looked at the book he would point to the cupcake picture and say "Mama", shake his head yes and point to the kitchen. So...I bought cupcake mix and we made cupcakes. We baked brownies before and Jack loves standing on his chair at the island "stirring his cake". He gets his own bowl and spoon and a little water.
We actually had a great time!!! He is so into helping me do everything at home right now and follows directions really well. His favorite part of all, though, was licking the batter off the beater. That was alway my favorite when I as a kid (still is). The cupcakes were actually really tasty and we didn't even get around to frosting them!

So cute. Love the fact that he is helping. What a big kid. I think Caleb learned about helping from him because he has started doing a little bit too.
