An Apple A Day...

Jackson loves apples. I have known this for a while and have fed him little slices of my apple (I eat an apple every day during his afternoon snack - my way of getting my apple a day!!). I guess he decided he was too big for those slices one day and reached for my apple. I normall eat all the skin off the apple, exept for where I hold it, and then eat the inside (weird I know). So, I started letting him take bites off my apple. This was all fine and good for a few weeks but then he wanted more of a challenge and asked (actually signed "please") to hold the apple. Took me a few days but I let him. Now he wants it no other way. I eat the skin off the apple and he eats the middle. Good for him, sad for me. I miss my apple AND my little boy. I sit right with him and make sure he doesn't choke or get too big of a piece. :) Here are a few pictures of my big boy eating his apple.

This is his look that says "Don't you dare try to take this apple away from me." Seriously, it is a fight when he gets too close to the core to get it away from him.

This is Jackson ignoring me as I tell him he is almost all done with his apple. Once I say this he stops making eye contact with me.

I had to add this one...this is Jackson's new favorite face. It is too funny. He makes this face anytime he hears a noise outside (like a lawn mower or airplane) or something inside (like the ice maker dropping ice). Too cute!!
