Lions and Tigers and Bears...

Lee, Jackson and I met Kevin, Rachel and their son, Gabriel, at the zoo Saturday. It was an absolutely beautiful day for a trip to the zoo. Kevin and Rachel are college friends of Kaiti and Robert (Kathy or KaKa's daughter and son-in-law). We were introduced to Kevin and Rachel while looking into international adoption and got to spend time with them before they moved for Kevin's teaching job. We first met Gabriel when he was just a few months old and were so amazed at how much he has changed!! He's walking (or running) everywhere and talking!! They were back in town and we decided to meet at the zoo. We got the prime tour because Rachel used to do PR for the zoo and knew all the quick routes to the animals. Gabriel is almost 3 and could tell us exactly what he wanted to see. Alligators or crocodiles were very high on his list and luckily one was out sunning itself that afternoon.

Rachel and I with the boys in front of the meerkats. This was one area I had not visited before. Rachel took us right back there. Who knew they were hidden beside the pizza place???

Lee and Jack looking at the elephants. Jack loves to make his elephant sound. Gabriel had the same sound. It was cute to see them do it together.

Gabriel and Jackson giving "daps" (I think that's how it's spelled). This was so cute b/c Rachel and I were up ahead of Kevin and Lee talking and turned around to see them coming at us with the boys on their shoulders. We both stopped talking and grabbed our cameras and started taking pictures. Too cute!!

The carousel. Jackson loves this ride!! He saw it from a distance and got so excited!!

Lee had to put Jack in this muscle man display for a picture. Funniest part about it is the display guy has hair and Jackson still doesn't have a whole lot of that.
