Summer is here!!!

We love summer in our house. Lee doesn't love the heat but loves all the activities that go along with summer. We could not wait to break out the shorts, flip flops and bathing suits after the long, snowy winter. We started talking to Jackson about the seasons this year and all the different things that go along with the different seasons. He knows that flip flops and bathing suits are summer things and even though summer doesnt officially start until sometime later this month - we are celebrating summer!

This is a sight we see almost every evening - Jackson, on his bike, riding to or from the pool - shirtless. He doesnt have to wear the swim shirt in the evening and he loves it!! Look how white he is!! Guess we are doing a good job with the sunscreen.


When we dont feel like going to the pool but need a good cooling off or just a popsicle rinse off we break out the sprinkler.



This kid LOVES to swim!! He was a little skittish at first and wouldn't leave the steps but once Daddy got in there with him and reminded him how much fun it was we couldn't get him out. Look how big he has gotten!! No more baby - he looks like a 4 yr old!

Jack & Daddy playing around in the pool. These 2 can get pretty crazy together - not always the best for a mommy who doesn't like the pool water until it is like bath water. Lee has taught Jackson that he can't splash me until after he has asked me if it is ok. Sometimes Jack remembers, sometimes he doesn't. Sometimes Lee remembers, sometimes he doesn't.
