Then we came home (back to Raleigh) with Mimi, who stayed with me and Jack while Lee went to California on work, then my sister and nephew flew in from Missouri and we were all together for my Dad's graudation from Duke Divinity School. Dad has spent the month of July here in Durham at Duke the past 5 years studying to be a Methodist minister. He finished his program this year and we got to watch him graduate. It was a pretty amazing opportunity - our whole family together, the service was at Duke Chapel, which is gorgeous. I know Dad is glad to be done with the studies, though.
Jackson had an awesome time with all the company (not to mention the attention). He always loves seeing Mimi and Papa (Grandpa even came for a weekend visit in between all our traveling) but really enjoyed my sister, Lisa and my nephew, Chance (who is starting high school this year!!).
Mom and Dad (aka Papa and Mimi) at a pizza place in Durham. We all decided to have pizza for dinner one night after Lisa and Chance got in town. It was a typical Burke outing - every restaurant we tried in Durham was only open for lunch. We must have pulled up to 5 different restaurants, which were all closed after 2:00 (maybe we weren't in a good part of Durham??). We finally found a place through my trusty GPS. This pizza was good but the company was even better. My sister took this with her new phone thingy, which can basically do anything. Mom and Dad NEVER take a good picture (one is usually blinking while the other is talking and vice versa) so she was pretty happy she got this.

Of course, Jack had to show off his swimming skills for everyone. Another one taken with Lisa's phone - Jackson in mid--jump to Chance in the water.

On the way home from the airport. Cannot believe Chance is starting highschool this year.

Wow...I can't believe Chance is starting high school either. I remember keeping him when you parents both had something to do the same evening. I would take him for a walk, so they could get out of the house. My, how time flies.
