I am totally enjoying my time with Jackson - his personality is really developing and it's so much fun to watch. I enrolled him in a Mothers Morning Out program but then we took him out of it. Financial reasons were what encouraged me to withdraw him. He also did not like to go (big surprise, I know. Jack is a total Mommy/Daddy/Mimi boy). But now, I guess I am kind of glad. I don't know, maybe I felt like I was pushing him into becoming one more hurry up/get out the door kind of kid. Our lives are so fast-paced and always busy and maybe I just want to give him a little more time to just be a kid. Run, play, sit, look for bugs, read a book. We do My Gym, I do a bible study with a few other moms one morning a week where we bring the kids. We have fun and he gets to enjoy a few more months of downtime.
Here's an example of Jack in full relax mode. I cleaned the porch last week while Jack enjoyed some lounge time in the chairs. Seriously, he even plopped down on the couch with a pillow under his head and pretended to take a nap for about 10 minutes.
Jack LOVES his daddy. It's basically the first word out of his mouth when I get him out of bed in the morning. "Daddy go??" he says. He still loves to lawnmower the grass with Daddy. That's what he calls it "lawnmower the grass". This is a pic of Jack and daddy this past weekend cutting the grass together. We wish Jack and Daddy had a little more time together. Maybe if we find a new house just a little closer to work...
Still loves the helmet (and the glasses but he's broken about every pair he owns so glasses are off-limit for now). The helmet never quite sits right on his head when he puts it on but he does not care one bit. He went to Lanree's house yesterday and had to take the helmet with him.
Mr. Jim and Mrs. Diana from our church gave Jack an animal sticker book for his birthday. To say he likes the book is putting it mildly. He loves the book. We looked at the sticker book for about an hour last night and stuck stickers to every body part he could think of.
Lee and I are headed to a dinner celebrating God's faithfulness with the Daybreak Crisis Pregnancy Center tonight. Amy and Tim sponsored a table and invited us to attend as guests. We are so excited to support this cause and become involved with such an awesome program. Mimi is coming up to hang out with Jack, I still dont know what I am wearing and I leave in 3 1/2 hours, I have a ton of housework that needs to be done and need to find 3 subs for some cycle classes but know that the minute I get done here I will plop myself down, open my book and munch on some yummy Charleston Cookie Company cookies Lee brought home from work.

I love the different thoughts. They don't appear random at all!!!!!
The picture of Jack just chilling out is so cute. I love the fact that he has his feet on the table.
Yum, okay you need to share the cookies. :)
