A good, healthy dose of outside

The weather has been beautiful this week and Jackson has spent the majority of his waking hours outside. I love being outside and kind of got in a funk when it was so hot this summer that we had to spend our time inside. Jackson has obviously picked up my love of outdoors because it's almost the first thing we do in the morning and the last place we are before his bath at night.

Wednesday we actually had a picnic in the backyard. We went grocery shopping that morning and I mentioned a picnic to Jack while shopping. We've only had 2 other picnics in his life so I know he didn't quite understand what I was talking about but was excited nonetheless. We got home, I made some sandwiches and cut up some tomato and outside we went. He loved it and talked about it all afternoon.

After dinner we had some "yummy, yummy, tummy" (Jacksons actual words) watermelon. Our back porch and patio were covered in watermelon juice. The evidence is written all over his face of how "yummy" the watermelon was.

Jackson loves to "mower grass a Daddy" (cut the grass like Daddy). He pushes his lawnmower all over the backyard. Lee cannot wait until Jack is old enough for the real thing.

Love the expressions on his face.

Matt said the same thing about how he can't wait until Caleb can cut our grass. :)

What a fun time.
