On the subject of Mimi

Jack has a habit of calling all grandmother type ladies Mimi. It's incredibly sweet to hear him say it at the store or park or anywhere. Always has Mimi on his mind.

He started a Mothers Morning Out program yesterday at a local church. I get 3 hours to myself every Thursday - it might take me some time to get used to that but, believe me, I will. I was not too concerned about leaving Jack but just wanted to make sure he liked his teachers. I didnt need to worry. There is an older lady in his class that he has fallen in love with and he calls her "Mimi". I know that she will never ever take the place of his Mimi and she really is quite older than my mom but I'm just thankful that he got Mimi as his teacher. When I went to pick him up yesterday he was sitting in her lap (she said he had gotten kind of grumpy about 11:30 but had been fine the rest of the time). He just looked at me and smiled and went right back to hanging out with Mimi. When we left he said "bye-bye Mimi"and told me on the way home that Mimi had given him cookies and Cheerios for a snack.

I am so glad he had a great first day. Love the fact that he attached himself to this new Mimi. That is so sweet.

What a big boy!!!
