I dot it!!!

So Jackson was a little slow when it came to talking. Everything (including Daddy - but not Mama!!) was a "baba". EVERYTHING!! Everyone told us that one day he would just start talking and his language would just take off. That it did! I think it was the week we spent at the beach that he really started repeating everything we said and saying a lot of things on his own. Since Jack decided to wake up super early every morning of vacation Lee and I came up with the idea of taking him on a walk. We didn't want to wake up the whole house at 6:00 am and Jack really wasn't ready to be awake so a stroller ride did him some good. The first morning we walked out the door Jack pointed up to the sky and said "moon!". It was the daytime moon or "childrens moon" as my dad calls it. But it was the moon - proud moment for us!! And the talking just took off from there.

One of my favorite things that Jack says nowadays is "I dot it" for "I got it". He will drop something, say "uh ho" and then pick it up and say "I dot it". The other evening Lee was working late and Jackson and I had just finished a crazy meal of spaghetti and meatballs (crazy b/c he insists on eating with his fork and spaghetti was everywhere!!). Jackson asked for some berries "bebbies" so I went and pulled the raspberries out of the fridge. I wanted to put it in his mouth b/c he was already up from the table and I didnt feel like cleaning raspberry juice out of the carpet. Nope, didnt happen. He said, "No. I dot it" and grabbed the berry from my hand. Thankfully the berry went right in his mouth and not on the carpet.

So cute! I love the talking too! Landree's new thing is 'reaching' for everything. She 'reach' everything :)

It is so fun. I have noticed just how much he has been talking too. The only bad thing is that now they can tell us "no." Guess our babies are growing up. :( So sad.
