Jack and I went to visit Papa and Gramma this weekend while Lee was in Miami for work. We had a great time and it really reminded me how much I miss Charleston. I don't think there is any more beautiful sight to me than driving over the Isle of Palms connector - the marsh all around and then - you reach the top and it looks like you are about to drive into the ocean. Nothing like it.....
Anyways, we took Jack to the beach Monday. It was about 55 degrees with 20 mph winds but we had a good time. There were actually people out there in their bathing suits...crazy people. Jackson chased some birds and enjoyed looking out at the water. Gramma wanted to go have ice cream at the Ben & Jerrys on IOP but it was closed so we settled for Marble Slab. I think that was Jack's favorite part. He sat between the 3 of us with his mouth open like a little bird - vanilla with sprinkles from me, vanilla with Oreo from Gramma and coffee flavored from Papa. I ended up giving him my spoon and letting him get it himself. He actually ended up with a pretty high fever that night...can too much ice cream cause a fever???

Landree loves coffee ice cream too. Jeff suggested we let her get a kids cup last time. Considering we never even let her have ice cream...sugar and caffeine...that might have caused a fever! I love this picture of Jack.
