You may be thinking that is no big deal, but in this house when Jacob sleeps past 5:15 am it is nothing short of a miracle. It happened to be on a Saturday so Lee and I enjoyed a nice, relaxing morning sleeping in (at least until 7:48 am).
Even with the early mornings, this little guy is such a sweetheart. We love him to death and are so, so thankful for each and every day we have with him. He is doing new things each and every day and I feel like our baby is growing up just a little too fast. Just today I had to go buy some 6-9 month sleepers because 1) that is all this boy wears (except to church) and 2) his 3-6 month sleepers were too short on his arms, his legs, in the feet area and were cutting off the circulation around his neck (just kidding about that last one but we were almost there).
He is rolling onto his side but HATES tummy time so gets almost there and then rolls right onto his back. He will stay in tummy time for just a short time and Jackson, Lee and me do everything we can to keep him there aside from duct taping his tummy to the floor. Just kidding about that too (maybe).
Speaking of duct tape - we are in the throes of weaning Jacob off his swaddle. We actually thought about just duct taping him in the thing but then realized that if he was breaking out of it enough to need duct tape it might be time to stop. He is not the best sleeper without the swaddle but is so MAD when we swaddle him and just screams and fights it the entire time. Will keep everyone updated about that. I know you are on the edge of your seats. But, say a prayer for us. We could all use a little sleep.
